Since its inception PPBP’s distinctive identity relies on bringing an authentic “Bangaliyana” to everybody in a transparent and democratic way where everyone's voice will be heard equally and spontaneously. Our mission is to promote a harmonious blend of our diverse culture and rich values with today's hi-tech, fast-paced, success-driven way of life, with a view to nurturing well-balanced, exemplary new generations, who will continue to be role models and enrich the world in greater measure.
Our growing membership count reflects the diversity in the group where members cutting across age groups participate in all events with the same enthusiasm and fervour. PPBP is representing & promoting harmony and integration through cultural and social activities & is open to all who have an interest in the language, literature, culture and heritage of Bengal.
We urge everyone to own it through the presence and participation in the PPBP activities and events around the year.

Paschim Pune Bangiya Parishad
Historically, Bengal has been a melting pot of national and international cultural and ideological currents and cross currents. It is known for its literary, artistic and revolutionary heritage. Kolkata, as the former capital of India, was the birthplace of modern Indian literary and artistic thought. It has been called the "City of Furious, Creative Energy", as well as the “cultural [or literary] capital of India!”
PPBP was conceptualized to bring that slice of literary and cultural heaven to the people of Western Pune and it has been keeping up its promise. And it all started with a humble tribute to Maa Durga! More than 180 members came together and celebrated the first ever Durga Puja as PPBPians! Since then, the PPBP family has grown by leaps and bounds, bringing together a diverse and vibrant group of like-minded and passionate people!
Even COVID could not deter the enthusiasm of the PPBPians. We had instead “Virtual Pujo”, with a daily live telecast of the various rituals of Durgotsav from Kolkata!
To commemorate the influence of three doyens of Bengali literature, Sukumar Ray, Satyajit Ray and Rabindranath Tagore, PPBP organized a three-hour extravaganza of gadya and padya - “Teen Purush”!
Acknowledging the wishes of several of its members, PPBP has decided to start Kali Pujo too, from this year!
